OUR CORE VALUES
FINDING BEAUTY IN THE ORDINARY
We believe that there is beauty to be found in the ordinary means of grace that God has given his people, including gathering together for worship, being present in one another’s lives in community, and pursuing a relationship with God through his word and prayer. We believe God uses these regular habits and rhythms to conform us more into the image of Christ (2 Cor. 3:18).
FIGHTing TO SHOW UP
We are a church marked by the commitment to an embodied presence in one another’s lives. We fight to show up in order to bear each other’s burdens (Gal. 6:1-2), to speak the truth in love (Eph. 4:15-16), to love one another just as Christ has loved us (Jn. 13:34-35), and to put ourselves in the way of what God is doing. Fighting to show up isn’t often convenient or easy, but it is essential for our discipleship and growth in Jesus Christ.
FAITHFULLY PURSUING MEANINGFUL CONVERSATIONS
As image bearers of God (Gen. 1:26-28) were created for genuine relationships and friendships, and a central part of these relationships ought to be meaningful conversations . We are committed to listening well, understanding others, and then pursuing conversations that ultimately point to Jesus and the hope of the gospel (Eph. 4:15).
Following Jesus as He Builds His Church
We are committed to looking where Christ is already at work and humbly seek to follow his leadership. Ultimately, all things belong to King Jesus, and we accordingly are open-handed to send our best people and resources for the sake of the Kingdom of God as Jesus builds his church here and everywhere (Mt. 16:18).
