LEADERSHIP IN THE LOCAL CHURCH
Our conviction from the Scriptures is that there are two offices in the local church: Elders & Deacons. Elders (or pastors) are called, qualified, and competent men of exemplary Christ-like character who lead by shepherding the church. This shepherding includes knowing, feeding, leading, and protecting the church. The qualifications for elders can be found in 1 Tim. 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, & 1 Pet. 5:1-4.
Deacons are men and women of exemplary Christ-like character who serve the church, commissioned by the elders to care for the practical ministry needs of the body. The qualifications for deacons can be found in 1 Tim. 3:8-13.
The King’s Church is also blessed to have a growing staff of a variety of full-time, part-time, and stipend team members who carry out the practical ministry of our church body on a day-to-day basis.
