EQUIP NIGHTS

In January and August, our entire church is invited to gather together on the final three Wednesday evenings of these months for Equip Nights! The purpose of these evenings is to gather as a gospel family for dinner and discipleship. Practically, we’ll be sharing a family meal together, followed by a time of teaching from our pastors, table discussion, and prayer. We plan to focus on topics during Equip Nights that will help our members grow in their discipleship and worship of Jesus, as we seek to “equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ” (Eph. 4:12).

Equip Nights will also be a great opportunity to continue the discipleship of our kids and children, as we will be able to reinforce what is being taught on Sunday mornings as well as introduce new topics our whole church will be discussing together.

During August and January, all of our other non-Sunday morning gathering spaces will take a break (City Groups, Classes, etc.) in order to give rest to our leaders and encourage participation in these church-wide gatherings. This will establish natural seasons of rest for our City Group leaders and Class teachers, as well as creating more opportunities for people to connect with one another as we continue to grow numerically. Equip Nights also give our City Groups a chance to serve alongside one another, as they rotate “hosting” each evening, serving with our kids, set-up, food service, and tear-down.

Go ahead and mark your calendars for the final three Wednesdays of January (1/15, 1/22, 1/29) for Equip Nights! We will gather from 5:30pm - 7:30pm at Haus 820 (820 N Massachusetts Ave, Lakeland, FL 33801). The topic for this spring's Equip Nights is Christ-centered conflict resolution.

EQUIP NIGHT SCHEDULE:
5:30 - 6:30pm: Dinner
6:30 - 7:00pm: Teaching Time (Kids ages 1-Kindergarten dismissed)
7:00 - 7:30pm: Table Discussion
