WANT TO SERVE ON THE music TEAM?
Thank you for your interest in serving on The King’s Church Music Team. We are excited about the potential of partnering with you in the mission of seeing a greater worship of Jesus through declaring and displaying the gospel. The overall goal and purpose of The King’s Church Music Team is to foster the gifts and skills / of a diverse collective / in willfully magnifying the grace and glory of Jesus Christ / through musical worship. The following form serves as Part I in a pipeline developed for musicians interested in serving on Sunday mornings. Upon submission, you will be contacted by a Director of the Music Team regarding next steps.
THE PIPELINE:
PHASE 1: You must be a covenant member of The King’s Church. If you are in the process of pursuing membership, please specify. You must also be an active member of a City Group. If you are serving in other areas at The King’s Church, please specify that as well.
PHASE 2: You must complete the following form. Upon submission, you will be contacted by a Music Director of the Music Team.
PHASE 3: You must audition for your instrument(s) with a Music Director at an agreed upon time and date. Auditions are scheduled upon return of application.
NOTE: Do not let an audition intimidate or deter you from serving in this area! It is simply a method for identifying musical proficiency. ALL CURRENT TEAM MEMBERS HAVE PARTICIPATED IN THE AUDITION PROCESS.
PHASE 4: You must complete Part II by answering questions concerning Bob Kauflin’s Worship Matters.
Part II: Worship Matters by Bob Kauflin
Thank you for taking the time to read Worship Matters. Please know the following questions are not meant to intimidate you from pursuing this particular ministry, but to challenge you in thinking through some of the areas that are covered. As you read, pray, and reflect, it is my prayer you will be honest and transparent in your answers. We serve a great God who delights in our praise and is worthy of our time and attention. Worship matters.
Closing Thoughts
Thank you for your time and patience with this packet. At the very least, I hope it conveys an equal importance across all aspects of the corporate worship gathering. In closing, please take a moment to consider the following questions. No need to write anything down unless you choose to do so. Take this time to simply pray and think through them.
Can you be part of a team? Are you okay setting your personal preferences aside for the greater good of the team and the even greater glory of God?
Can you view direction as an opportunity to submissively serve, opposed to a form of creative oppression?
Can you serve with excellence while extending grace to others and more importantly yourself?
Can you handle critique?
Can you humbly receive praise?
Will this be good – no, beneficial for your family?
Best regards,
